Stanley Gampel was born Jan. 18, 1921 in New York and was the only child of Joseph and Fanny Gampel. He enlisted in the Army Air Corp in May of 1942 and would ultimately become a B-17 bombardier. He married Marion Levine and they had two daughters, Lynn and Elaine and one son, Jeffrey. Stan worked in quality control for Timex for 27 years. Stan was the last living crew member until his death on July 17th, 2014 in Pompano Beach, FL.
